The choice of freeskiers who demand superior performance, the Jester ID is compatible with Alpine, GripWalk and Tour certified soles. The toe and heel pieces save weight, increase stiffness and boost power transmission compared to the previous model. The Triple Pivot Elite Toe uses a across-axis toe spring for higher energy absorption; the Inter Pivot 3 Freeride Heel has better vertical elasticity. Never before seen performance in a binding this weight.

Overview

Binding Type
Multi Norm Alpine

Boot Compatibility
Alpine, GripWalk, WTR, Tour

Skier Type
Heavier and stronger skiers wanting a higher DIN range for the best retention. Tough construction does increase the weight but more importanly improves resilience whether skiing in the park or freeriding.

Key Features

Triple Pivot Elite Toe
The toe construction allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and, with a sole plate inclined by 5°, it provides high energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

Magnesium Parts
Magnesium sole holders in the toe combinded with a magnesium heel housing provide the solid construction for the hardest charging freeride athletes.

Inter Pivot 3 Freeride Heel
The third and newest generation: improved power transmission, energy absorption and vertical heel elasticity combined with an improved step in comfort. The main pivot in the heel sits in the heart of the heel piece and ensures excellent saftey for downhill skiing.

Anti Ice Rail
Use the metal rail on the toe piece to scratch off ice and snow below your boot sole to easily step into the binding.

SOLE.ID
Height-adjustable gliding plate that is hassle-free to adjust making it compatible with alpine soles (ISO 5355) and touring/GripWalk (ISO 9523).

Duke PT takes a radical approach to combining top alpine performance with lightweight ascending by using an innovative Ride & Hike toe. For walking, the upper part is unlocked and removed revealing a pin system, the upper section is then stored in a backpack. For the descent the upper jaw is locked back into place and the binding becomes a high-performance alpine unit that will take on any terrain. The PT 12 uses the Hollow Linkage Heel that is lighter than the version on the PT 16 but retains excellent torsional strength and a robust construction. The DIN range on this model starts lower and doesn't go as higher, better suiting lighter or less aggressive skiers.

Overview

Binding Type
Backcountry Hybrid (Multi Norm Alpine on descent and PinCert on ascent)

Boot Compatibility
In Alpine mode it will accept boots with any DIN standard (Alpine ISO 5255, Tour ISO 9523, GripWalk, WTR), this does exclude the lightest models of pin boot that fall outside of DIN Norms. To use the climbing function a boot with pin inserts at the toe is required.

Skier Type
Freerider, Backcountry. Skiers where the descent is the most important part but they're prepared to skin to get there. The DIN range of the PT 16 won't work for a lot of skiers who are lighter or less agressive. So, the PT 12 has the performance and retention you expect of a Marker Alpine binding and, with a simple unlocking mechanism, can be converted to a highly effecient Pin model for ascending.

Key Features

SKIING, Auto Quad Lock
The alpine toe part locks itself at 4 different points automatically when stepping into the binding to ensure maximum safety.

SKIING, Hollow Linkage Heel
The Hollow Linkage Heel optimises retention for alpine and touring soles. The hollow axle saves on weight and maximizes the torsional stiffness. The robust construction suits even the most strenuous activity.

SKIING, Anti Ice Rail
A metal rail on the toe piece can be used to scratch off ice and snow below your boot sole to easily step into the binding.

SKIING/CLIMBING, Ride & Hike Toe
All the Marker Royal Family downhill performance and boot retention you'd expect with a releasable housing to reveal pin-technology for strong and efficient uphill performance. To use the walking mode, the upper part of the toe is simply unlocked, tilted forward and removed, this uncovers the pin binding. Unclipping and removing the upper section saves 300g per foot. When it's time to ski, the top section is clipped back to the base plate, secure by the Auto Quad Lock technology.

CLIMBING, Lock & Walk Brake
A simple flick of a switch in the brake effortlessly locks the brakes out of the way and Includes a neutral walking mode and 10° climbing aid.
